Emu on Emu - Psyke News - June 30, '98 by JoseQ
Finally some news starting to develop. These are pretty exciting regarding the new PSX Emulator Psyke. As you may or may not know this is a fast PSX emulator that still lacks CD-ROM support which means no actual commercial games are playable. Nobody said anything about emulators available to run on PSX. Well yes, Speculator, a Sinclair ZX Spectrum Emulator designed for PSX runs fine over Psyke. Some screenshots are shown at the Psyke Page.
On a different side of also exciting news, mOoNsHaDo has begun working on the 3dfx driver and he has achieved flat and goraud shaded polyguns. This means that no texture mapping is available yet. A picture of the famous playstation dinasour is shown in the page on 3dfx with flat shading. They report it is quite fast but no fps has been reported due to the fact that not all the features are already implemented. We will keep an eye on this exciting emulator for you, and keep reporting of any news that develop.
