First after-shock... - September 14, '00 by JoseQ
The first after-shocks from the FPSE claims that many other Playstation emulators are created from the FPSE sources. The first to deny such claims is PCSX, another popular Playstation emulator for Windows. In a statement posted at their Home Page, one of the authors certainly demonstrates how frustrated he feels after such outrageous claims... As I'm not a Playstation emulator author, I am certainly not in a position to judge either of those claims, but it seems kind of unfair for FPSE to say that after opening their source, and accompany their posting with an arrogant "We are the best!!!" comment. I was shocked just as much as David of Overclocked (very funny David, my mom always said *I* was the best!... well... me and my brother... are you my brother???). Anyhow... We shall still see some other repercussions from this and hopefully all will turn out well in the end.

Whythe?

Programming in general is tough. Every line of code is a chance that it just don't work. Huge corps are out to bite your doingo if you do get it working. If you do open the source.. and someone uses it.. give credit -- whatever the license agreement. Boasting, arguing over usage means nothing in the long run.

To see why there's no relation between the two emulators.
We started run games and used Psemu's plugins WAY before them.
What an immature post from the Fpse team...

ok i petty agree. the point is some games rum on fpse do not run on pcsx. when you use the emulators, you feel the approcah is different.

i also consider that the suthor may be overreact. if there is a reference source, you are take for grant to have a look.
