FPSE Situation Update... - September 15, '00 by JoseQ
In what is probably the longest update you will ever read at the FPSE Home Page, LDChen and Mr. Fog have both placed new comments regarding their claims yesterday. Highlights mention that shared coders between FPSE and PCSX might be sharing fixes from one emulator author (LDChen) to the other emulator (PCSX emu) and claims that someone close to PSXe saying that it was based on FPSE sources, however we don't know who that was or if that person was telling the truth or just stirring the pot where he shouldn't have. The update is very long and a bit hard to read, but you can get part of the idea where Mr. Fog got his posting from. Mr. Fog's update however, is in Italian, so good luck reading that part. All in all, very interesting stuff developing here, but I still think that "We are the best!!!" comment was a bit inmature at best, or at least premature. I guess we will know more in time.

The truth'll come out when ePSXe is released. Though, frankly, I doubt that they used FPSE as a base. The ZSNES team has earned a lot of respect, and I doubt demo would work from that kind of base.

As for fixes and the like, isn't sharing what emulation was based on? Where would SNES emulators be if the authors didn't share information? How can you complain about stolen code on an OPEN SOURCE emulator?!
