J&N Special on Memory! - May 10, '01 by JoseQ
Want to upgrade your computer for best performance? I couldn't resist posting about this sale at J&N Computer Services as the prices seem quite low. They have 256MB PC133 DIMMs for just $69! A 256MB PC2100 CAS-2 (DDR) DIMM is going for $104 and even Rambus memory is on sale for those Pentium 4 users out there. If you're in the United States and could use the memory upgrade, be sure to give them a call and tell them JoseQ sent you. I don't get any commission or anything, but maybe they give me a discount next time I buy from them or anything... who knows?

Hey JoseQ,

Thanks for the memory sale tip! I just ordered one of their mobo bundles, taking advantage of their sale prices on RAM.

ASUS A7M266 mobo, 512MB PC2100 CAS2 DDR SDRAM and 1.33GHz Athlon CPU--all for $708, delivered to my door.

All the MAME games should run at 100% framerate on this baby, heh heh.

The problem with overclocking is that eventually your PC starts to mimic a toaster, spitting out charred slices of your $100 DIMMs in the process!

Yeah with improper cooling , but a smart guy like yourself might be able to overcome that by installing a good fan

Yes, I use PriceWatch all the time. So far, almost every product I've gotten through their site has been low-grade, unreliable or has otherwise failed me in some way. I *much* prefer buying my stuff from a local and/or a trusted computer store.

Lighten up, will ya?
