After months of work, the MAMEnet Page was updated with information
on the status of this version. The authors, Peter Eberhardy, Michael Adcock and Bryan Parker just managed
to merge the MAMEnet code into the latest release of MAME
(.35b3) and albeit taking the user interface stuff out,
since it didn't work anyways, managed to get a network
game going. Right now, there is only support from the
command line. Pretty soon, it will be wrapped up and sent
to both MAME and MAME32 teams for integration as the
MAME32 guys have shown interest in adding it to that
version. I'm sure most of us are looking forward to this,
and I will keep you up to date with every minimal detail
I can get on this.
