Naughty Boy by BMan2
Game:Naughty BoyCompany:Jaleco
Type:AdventurePlayers:1/2

You know you're in trouble when you walk 10 minutes up the road to play a game called "Naughty Boy" - but alas I must admit to this adventure as a boy growing up in the bush of Australia. And at 20 cents a throw - Naughty Boy held an attraction for quite a long time.
What's that I hear you scream. Naughty Boy is one of the most demented and POINTLESS games known to man. Well yes - in all aspects - Naughty Boy is a PCB that doesn't deserve the electricity that's pumped into it - and probably from the view of most of you - isn't worthy of the 20 cents you put in it. Yet I estimate that for the time it was in my neighbourhood - I put somewhere in the order of $10-$20 in it. Temporary insanity? Read on.
The idea of Naughty Boy is to control a boy (and he's naughty obviously :P) who can throw bombs in varying directions. He must get past the monsters and up to the end of the playfield to destroy the flags. Every now and then - you get a bonus level which is dropping things on an ugly aliens head - and then - back to the flags. Thrillsville.
Graphically - Naughty Boy is blocky, jerky - with an AWFUL colour scheme. The playfield that you have to play on looks like it's been put together with Shoot Em Up Construction Kit (my apologies to that program :P) and the collision detection is SHOCKING - erring sometimes on the lenient side - and sometimes (usually in the heat of battle) - being INCREDIBLY finicky. Sonically - pop and whistle are about as good as it gets - with VERY little sound being heard at all in the game. What sound there is I am sure is only there to stop the player going insane from the lack of stimulation to the senses.
So what made me drop money in this game. Well - the ONE thing that Naughty Boy has for it is repetition. It is possibly one of the easier games known to man to get through levels in. That - and it was the only arcade game within 30 kms of my house - my friends and I would take turns to see how many times we could go through all of the levels in one sitting. Sad? Very. Bored? Extremely. But I'd be really interested to know if anyone else was bothered enough to clock Naughty Boy over 30 times as I once did.

You need SERIOUS help :P
