I'm thinking you may know about a few of these thingsalready, but I was away all day, so I'm reporting a littlelate, and mainly for history archiving purposes. MAMEDEVhas been quite active today with huge updates from manysystems. Some of them had been mentioned in older RumorMills so it's time to get those rumors inside the confirmedfolder. However, here's what coming up probably in thefirst beta of MAME 0.36 which as of today, has plenty ofnew content for a release.

System16 Update I actuallywanted to mention this as soon as it got in, but I askedthe author for permission, and that came after I had left. However, most sites already mentioned most of it. Newgames made available by this are: "Atomic Point", "Moonwalker (bootleg", "Shadow Dancer", "Shadow Dancer (Japan)", "Riot City", "Quartet", "Body Slam" and"Hang-On" although this last one doesn't show the road graphics just yet. There are a couple of alternate versionsto already existing games as well. Fixed games include "Alien Storm" and "Major League" which now hascontrols working. Most of those new games, don't have soundyet.
Atari Update Aaron Giles alsogot busy and did extensive work on the Atari drivers forMAME. As a result, games like "Cyberball (4 player)", "Tournament Cyberball 2072", "Toobin (Version 2)", "Toobin (Prototype Version)", "Hydra", "Pit Fighter" and "Pit Fighter (Version 3)" are now added. In Cyberball, bothplaying screens are supported, but apparently you can view only one atthe same time.
Raiden Driver I'm sure a lot of peopleare awaiting anxiously for this game, which was reported as being workingin MAME here first, a long time ago. Unfortunately Bryan McPhail decidedto wait until the 0.35 development cycle ended before submitting hisdriver, but that makes it all too exciting now that we're about to geta MAME with support for it. The driver is pretty complete, even thoughit hasn't been tested throughly, but that's where we come in, don't we? I'msure a lot of you will test it to the end.
