A Year Ago Today... - October 12,1999 by JoseQ
And what was happening a year ago you ask? Well that'swhy I'm here, to bring a couple of retro-retro news for you.Breaking the news last year was the addition of "Ring King"into MAME. This was one of themost awaited games at the time, and at least for me, oneof the bigger additions to the emulator. I always likedthat game and spent many many coins in it during my earlyarcade years.
PSEmu was making the news with a couple of then new screenshots of its latestdevelopments. However, the link on that article haschanged then, and also, the screenshots are no longeravailable since they changed the website altogether.
Another game making the news by that time wasCombat School. A stand-aloneemulator coded by Josť Tejada, was the first to evertouch on that game, which has since been added to MAME.This was also a very much awaited game.
An article featuring news about Raine was postedwhen they announced the addition of three games. Thegames added at the time were "Rastan Saga 2", "RastanSaga 3 (Warrior Blade)" and "Syvalion".
And an emulator which seems to have been very hotsince I've mentioned in pretty much every "Year Ago Today..." article was M72. It was updated to version 0.33bwhich added scanline support, and bug fixes. Sadly, thiswas the last release ever for this emulator, and there'seven no Web Page for it anymore. However, M.E.S.S. didcome back from a longer hiatus, so can there be hope?I sincerely think that a negative answer is eminent.
So that is what was happening then so I'll cut it here.I'll write another one in a few days. Thanks for reading!

One Article Up: Snes9x DOS 1.26b released!
One Article Down: M.E.S.S. Updated!

Yes.

You can either search for King on the search feature. Or look for it as "King of Boxer".
