Ok I have to come clean and tell you that its actually my grandmother who is the Amidar expert - she can play all day without losing a life. Probably blindfolded she would be just as good. Im trying to convince her to reveal her secrets on this website so hold out for a message from "Grannyamidar"

Cupcakes,

What an outrage, comparing amidar to pacman and describing this as a clone. You obviously didnt appreciate that the crux of this game is "amidar movement" - a set of mathematical parameters. Indeed, being good at amidar requires you to remember this set of moves and play around it - requiring foresight and lateral thinking rather like tetris. Still, im not bitter...
But Q, could you make sure the reviewers have come down from the trees and have five digits on each hand before signing them up.

Indeed. That's what makes Amidar such a gosh-dang difficult game! I was actually really surprised when I tried to play this game - even though enemy movement was rock-solid predictable, it was incredibly hard for me to compensate. No matter what I did, it seemed that I always had at least two of the baddies bearing down on me.

Anyone else have this experience?

That's what ReViewing is all about. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm sure there are games that you like that nobody else does, and some games that you hate that everybody loves. It happens all the time. Some people just don't "get"
some of the games. Hey, I loved Vanguard, and Bman2 ReViewed it and hated it. Oh well...

Hehe... actually, that was me who reviewed that game. And yeah, I came down pretty hard on it. It's a decent classic, certainly for the sake of being an interesting game. It's just that it didn't really even live up to the capabilities of even the original Scramble hardware, and I literally could not play it for very long.

Trust me, though... there are far worse games out there. (Vanguard II? Oh gawd.)

Yes I agree Q - I didnt want to offend any reviewers. Besides he/she was spot on with a few other reviews. Perhaps I should do a few and put my money where my mouth is... Or better still could we have a (piolo screened) reviews area?
Great site, great name and a great attitude Q.

Piolo seems to be really annoying, but I'm not sure I could ban him for that. He isn't offending anyone. I think it's more of lack of communication capability, and I'm also thinking it might be someone just trying to get some attention. I'll add the ban functionality just in case I need it. :)

Thanks for the comments on the site, the name and the attitude. :)

Its great to see the reviews - but JoseQ, please filter out the messages from Piolo (perhaps using a specially written macro from MS Word spellcheck). He's obviously a "no mark".
