EmuDX joins Linux and Windows? - February 06,2000 by JoseQ
Those of you who had complained about EmuDX being developed for DOS, well it seems you won't have much to complain very soon. Ports of EmuDX for both the Linux and Windows platform are well underway. While no specific details about the progress were given, they do plan to support 3D Cards for first person view of some games, and various camera angles 'such as "Mario64" type of view'. Does this sound like the next generation of emulation? Surely sounds exiting though. Let's just wait and see how it goes...

What I think we're seeing here is a bunch of little win9x kiddies who have no clue how to use dos bitching and complaining until they get their way. For God's sake, what's gonna happen when win2k comes around and zsnes won't work. I can imagine the long threads on all the message boards that'll result from that. FUN FUN FUN

DOS is dead, it's on it's way out. Windows 2000 will soon be on us. Just one question, when was the last time anybody brought a game for the PC in DOS (Think about it) ?

about the DOS-port! I doubt anyone is playing MSPACMAN under pure DOS, as the respective gfx- and sfx-files are not useable without long-file-names! So anybody using full features of EMUDX must run it under Windows 9X anyway and there it runs even better without CWSDPMI.EXE! Furthermore, for me GALAXIAN is unplayable under pure DOS!
