TRWin changes helms... - February 07,2000 by JoseQ
The True Reality for Windows project has changed helms, as the author admits his time is too little to continue with a project like this. Instead of slowly continuing, he has passed on his work to IcePir8 whom was responsible for the GL port and another person whom he did not mention; however, he does say that this 'newbie' has already "made a lot of progress". So while RCP is done with the project, it seems TRWin will get renewed air and new life. As soon as more info is available, you can rest assured it'll be posted here. Thanks to Emu H.Q. for the news. What are your thoughts on N64 emulation anyhow?

Just for the record I like Raine much better then System16. Im working with Spooky because he was the first person which sparked ideas for me to give somthing back to emulation, somthing ive been wanting to do for a long time.

Just like the Universe, however, everything will continue in its own individual course, as-well as emu writers. And that is wonderfull!!
We are all free (at least most of us)
and there is no point in trying to control or complain because an emu writer wants to emulate the newest technology (I can relate and respect that). But maybe that writer should respect Emulation and restrict the public release just untill the products are outdated by the next-gen systems.

Because if not then maybe we will find ourselves solitary with what we have scavenged in our hard-drives.

Actually im sure Emu-writers are already doing this-- I hear they are smart people..

i'm not gonna argue with you chrono, but n64 emulation-hell-emulation of any new system is gonna continue for as long as its possible. people who write emus are gonna write for systems they are interested in. and the n64 is an interesting system to emulate. thats why you don't see 50 new atari7800 emulators every few months but you do see a new gbc emulator. theres nothing you can do except sit back, relax, and hope that someone perfects emulation of an older system(or system16 in your case). personally,i don't care.

This is not too difficult..
I am the type of emulation-head that documents as many games as my 6gigs will hold. But N64 emulation, and its true product counterparts are sold currently in stores across World.

Im sure that one-day the internet will be much more closly monitored as it is brought into a main source of commerce;
and the IDSA will use that monitoring to close everyone's shop.

Now old videogames from 5,6 and 7 years ago are really not a problem because the pace of this market is flourishing.
But because it is flourshing so much these companies have alot to loose when current products are given away for free.

Just like the laws of anything within
the Universe, emulation is bound by
the all-powerfull reality of balance.
If we become greedy, and tip our scales too much, then our footing will tip right into the reality of consequence.

Thank you
hehe
