Nemu 0.7 is out! - February 28,2000 by JoseQ
Judging from the amount of mail I've received regardingthis, I bet many people are happy to know that a new version of Nem is currently available for download from the Emulator Download Page (check the profile pages for newly added info like Home Page and author info). This new release brings majorly increased compatibility, along with major speedups. It has improved DMA handling, andthrottling so that emulation doesn't go over 100% speed (great for audio). There's also an improved GUI, Auto-Fire feature, and that's just only the list from Lemmy. Check out the readme.txt file for all the details! Enjoy!

Greg, download the reference (detonator) drivers from Nvidia from their webpage for the best performance. http://www.nvidia.com/Products.nsf/htmlmedia/software_drivers.html
Be sure to get the correct drivers for your OS and your card configuration (AGP or PCI).
You won't have the pretty GUI interface that Diamond offers but it will speed up your performance. Also be sure that you have the latest Dx 7.0a installed. Good Luck.

I have a 32 meg Diamond Viper V770 Ultra and I can't get this emulator to play worth a damn. Does anyone know what the best drivers are for this card? I have the latest ones from Diamond, but they suck.
The sad thing is, my old 12 meg voodoo2 card seemed to work alot better. At least I could run Ultra HLE on it. I tried a glide wrapper, but that didn't do any good.

not bad more roms run, but are not up to speed yet UltraHLE is still more playable. this emu has not killed ultrahle and problay won't, be patient just wait until ultrahle 1.5 comes out to judge them both. good work with nemu64, can only encourage both teams to keep up the good work. dying to see the jag emu.

Great to see a new version of the much anticipated N64 emulator. I don't think this will cause Ultra HLE to be dead, but with more emulators that can play commercial games it will make N64 emulation more competive. Look at what the healthy competion between SNES9X and ZSNES have done to the SNES emu scene.
Congrats to the Nemu64 team for their efforts and looking forward to see UltraHLE 1.5. Will be interesting to see which API will be better in the longrun Direct X or OpenGL.
