New Gleam Release! - August 28,2000 by JoseQ
Gleam's latest release finally plays ROMs! Downloadable from the link above, this new release adds a Menu for loading ROMs, supports Swapping of CDs at any time, fixes vsync bug, adds some more Mapper support, adds sprites, background scrolling and much more! Check out the Changes link on the Gleam home page for all the details. There's also a Known Bugs and Usage documents on the website. Also on the Gleam site, a new forum for all of you to discuss this cool new emulator for the Dreamcast. If you've gotten it to play some games, feel free to discuss it here as well.

Sure it's slow.. but it is now clear that Dreamcast emulators aren't coming, they are here Right Now!

I tested this emulator out with Dr Mario and Mario Bros. The emulation is very slow at the present time - but not enough to hinder gameplay.

I can't wait for more releases of Gleam. With the added mappers, sound support, and increased speed the author is working on, this emulator will be supremely awesome.
