Final Burn 0.015! - September 18,2000 by JoseQ
Dave keeps on working hard on Final Burn with a new release just a day after his previous two postings! You can get version 0.015 from the Emulator Download Page as usual. New in this version is a simple but very cool change: Full Screen mode is now supported! Now you can finally play "After Burner" in full screen. I can't test this right now so I'm not sure if a scanline mode has been implemented, so can you please tell me? Just post your comments about this new version here!

Greetings, when playing AB2 there is a sound channel that sticks, as I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere I was wondering if it was a known issue or just my machine.
Cheers

Subject: how to map Sidewinder buttons?
From:
Ok, I feel a bit dumb here, but does anyone know how to map Sidewinder buttons X,Y, and Z (or better yet, L and R) for throttle controls? I've manage to peice together how to set button C (switch 0x4012) but the others are just a mystery to me. Thanks for any help.

scanlines and that still in development.

BTW: anyone run the mu on a Matrox G400 (etc.) card? With using card memory on, the picture appears filtered - very cool but a feature of the G400 I guess.

nVidia based cards do that too.

Probably a misnamed zip file. The Super Hang on emulation is terrible anyway. Use System16.

Subject: not any more!
From:
Super Hang-On was totally unplayable preliminary emulation, simply to help Dave understand some of the concepts to emulate Afterburner better.

It's probably been removed since it was never intended to be used/updated (yet).

Use MAME or the vastly underrated System16 if you want to play Super Hang-On. System16 Super Hang-On is far faster than MAME currently, due to MAME's C-based 68000 processor emulation.

System16 also uses hand-optimized assembly for grahpics rendering.
