Another Victory for Connectix - October 02,2000 by JoseQ
Virtual Gamestation scored today yet another victory when the Supreme Court refused to consider Sony's appeal of the original copyright claims set fourth by Sony. For a long time Sony and Connectix have been in courts trying to battle it out and this seems to be the last we will hear about it; the Supreme Court certainly doesn't want to hear it. If you want to read more about this, check out this article at C|Net News.Com. Kudos to Connectix for hanging in there with their emulator!

Of course this ruling has far reaching implications as a reference for any potential suits which could or would be filed by nintendo, sega, or other manufacturers attempting to sue authors of emulators for their product as well. Happy day.
