Charles updates on System16! - November 25,2000 by JoseQ
An update at the Charles MacDonald's Home Page mentions some work done on his old System16 and System24 emulators! It seems the author (Charles) likes it so much that he decided to work some on it, and so he has. He's looking for people with information on the following games so that he can get some questions answered: "Scramble Spirits", "Hot Rod" and/or "Super Master's Golf". So if you have pictures or info on any of these games, or better yet, own the boards, please contact him to help him work on that. Check out the site on the link above to learn what he has improved on his emulators.

Hey, seems like we have a Sega Arcade Champion defending the hopes of all Sega´s fans! Beyond the victory over the After Burner challenge, the man is tireless! Maybe we´ll see some System24 emulation? That would be a.w.so.m.e.
And just imagine McDonald joining forces with Thierry Lescot to improve old S16 emulator or prepare even a powerful S32 emulator... no, stop, spooky, don´t dream too much. We have enough for now, since that time of Systems darkness. Long life to Charles!

There is already someone working on the System 32 emulation. The thing is that System 32 uses the NEC V60 chip (dual player games use V70) and due to court cases, only employees of NEC or Intel can have info about it. So he's the only one who is emulating it and has that info, and doesn't want to distribute that info since he doesn't wanna be sued. So we will have to wait for that (trust me, this is the crown jewel of emulation for me after how long I've been waiting). I would also like to see System 18 fully emulated and those protection chips decrypted, but that may never happen.
