NES on Java with Sound! - December 01,2000 by JoseQ
Nescafe hits the scene! Nescafe is a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator written entirely in Java, which means it should work on any platform where Java is supported (pretty much everything). This is also the first NES emulator in Java that has sound, this time done with the Java Sound API which should work on any platform as well. This project was started in May of this year and got sound working for the first time this past month. It should work at pretty decent speeds, achieving right now 50-60 Frames Per Second on a Pentium II 350, so it should run full speed on anything faster than that. You can download the required components from the link above. Enjoy!
