Intellivision ROMs! - December 11,2000 by JoseQ
Well, as promised, I have added 170 Intellivision ROMs to the database here at EmuViews. As usual, you can get them from the ROMs or ROMs Lite pages. You may notice a slight change in the Emulator Bar. You can now filter by platform by selecting from a drop-down menu. This should work faster, take up less space, and allow easier modification in the future when more downloads are added. For now, enjoy the new Intellivision ROMs for use with Bliss. Note: Please make sure to rename the .int files into .bin so that Bliss will recognize them. I'm sure the author will add support for both in the future.

Yes, the Intellivision was the first 16-bit console, the CP1610 (Intellivision used a variant with a slower clock speed) was an early 16-bit CPU..

I am using the Win32 version and after running Bliss nothing happens.

Any ideas why?

What ROMs did you try? I tried several. Some displayed a window of jumbled characters, but others ran okay. METEOR.BIN (Astrosmash!) ran okay...

Did you install Java Run-time Engine 1.30 ?
Do you have the GROM.BIN and EXEC.BIN files in the same directory as the executable/JAR files?

The emulator should see it like that though. You have to close it and start it again.

tried it, but it doesnt let me change the type of file it is. the extetion name in dos still reads it as .INT as an acdsee image
after added .bin, it still .INT in dos

You're probably using a weird form of renaming the file. You should rename the file with the new extension, not just add it.

The file relation really doesn't matter either. What matters is that the emulator is able to see it.

I got it working I just uninstalled my acdsee then renamed the files with ext .bin , then installed acdsee again, but this time I didnt check off the file association to not read it as a .sgi image in my acdsee.
PS: intall acdsee and see for your self.
once its reconized as a image picked up by acdsee theres no way you can change it. this fix could come in handy for those out there with acdsee on their computers.

Hey there. The problem of not being able to rename a file with a different extension is most likely due to you having an option checked in Windows Explorer to hide the extensions of known filetypes.

To correct this, open an Explorer window, then go "View >> Folder Options" and then click on the "View" tab. Under the heading "Files and Folders", uncheck the box captioned "Hide file extensions for known file types". I also recommend telling it to show you *all* files.

You should now be able to replace file extensions no problem, though Windows will warn you when changing from one filetype to another.

Horray!

At last I can play all the classics I have lying about that I can no longer play after the rubber buttons on my old pads got warn/damaged.

Btw those who have AD&D (the first version). You can walk off the top left of the map and back on the opposite corner (found by my dad long long time ago)
