U64 1.18! - December 29,2000 by JoseQ
A new version of U64, the Killer Instinct emulator has been released! You can get it from the Emulator Download Page. This new version offers better Frame Skip support, speed ups all around for lower CPU requirements, scanlines now don't hurt performance at all! Also a very nice announcement saying that something special is coming to U64 next year, so stick around for that. What do you think it is? More games supported? net play? Place your comments!

Hey PPL I was just wondering why everyone keeps talking about how they have problems playing the game and NO ONE bothers to tell where they got the roms/images for others to download
I mean is that all really f**cing hard?
If not than do all the wanderers a favor by directing them to the image download site
will you
Thanks a lot

Dont you love these losers that expect new games to come out for the u64 emulator (or any emulator at that). Why dont you losers wait till the god RCP fine tunes killer instinct before wanting every single u64 game out there.
LOSERS.But your probably 4 years old so I understand.

Also, U64 doesnīt seem to run if the roms or hd is read only, so you canīt just burn it on a CD.
Iīm not complaining, itīs just a problem some people have (I had it too).
BTW, doesnīt anyone think the opponents are too good? I donīt remember losing as much on the arcades... But maybe I just forgot how to play...

Try right clicking on your zip files and uncheck the "read only" box...

Buy an Interact Hammerhead FX (gameport version)
Sidewinders do make good arcade sticks. Tear them apart and hook their control board to an arcade stick and arcade push buttons. THAT IS ALL THEY ARE GOOD FOR. Gravis :P

Well, I had a Sidewinder for over a year now with no problems,
then I bought a Hammerhead FX duel shock controller, and it
really blows chunks..First, the drivers were out of date and
wouldn't work with windows 98SE withought crashing, then the
patch at interact's website was down, so it took me hours to
track down the correct patch. now it works, but because it
also has analog controls, it will not work with any DOS
emulator or game. I kept it on my computer for 2 days, then
I went back to my Sidewinder... It works all the time on every
game!

Just let the game run by itself with no one playing and see if it just crashes.

>Thats normal, as long as you have all the proper items in their directories. When you start it the first time the screen will black out for a few seconds and return to the GUI screen, when that happens in creats a ki.dat file in your directory, when that hapeens just hit the reset again and it should work. Just remeber to erase the .dat file everytime you put a new version of the emulator and epeat the process. Its all in the readme's that come with the emu.
