Final Burn shows it's stuff! - January 01,2001 by JoseQ
In the latest update at the Final Burn website, Dave shows what he's capable of doing! Two screenshots of "Street Fighter Zero" (non changer version) are shown playing on Final Burn 0.53! It's shown as a work in progress version but that looks good enough to me! That's a great way to start the year eh? Kudos to Dave and the CPS2 Shock team for their huge accomplishment. I'm definitely looking forward for further developments on this system.

Dave you should run for president..Street Fighter Zero on final burn would be amazing...but how long does something like this take to bring out to the hungry public? im sure the CPS2 emulation is more difficult to do than the AfterBurner emulation..or am i wrong?

Decrypt the fantastic Dungeons and Dragons games next!!! Then do the shoot 'em ups 'cause they rule too. Then do everything else!!!

Thanks Dave, Will Final Burn run the games at a rate substantially faster than mame?

It seems as if in the past Dave has worked with John Stiles, Gil Pedersen, and Richard Bannister to port his DGen emulator to the MacOS. Is there any hope at this time of ever seeing one of these guys porting Final Burn to the MacOS?

If you are refering to CPS2 emulation, once the decrypted program data Razoola extracted is made available, support within MacMAME (which already fully emulates the CPS2 sound system) can be achieved with just a few minor modifications.

I can play SFZ (CPS2) version in Final Burn, because it was recently decrypted.
I can't play any other CPS2 games yet, because only SFZ has been decrypted.

Callus + patch would be able to do it, but the sprites are slightly different (done), and there's an extra EEPROM (trying to do right now)
