Apollo Site Update... - January 11,2001 by JoseQ
The Apollo64 site has recovered from a short period where the news had disappeared. With their comeback, Azimer also updates on what he has been doing. He has been working hard with F|RES on TR64 and adding FlashRAM support in Apollo. He's also looking for some people to start a new project, although not many details are mentioned about it, other than MIPS knowledge is a plus. You can contact him at azimer@emulation64.com. Let him know if you're interested in joining up.

I fully understand how difficult N64 emulation is, but I find it interesting that there is not a more concerted effort to get it done and out of the way instead of starting 'new projects'.

Yes, it's no less a challenge than CPS2 or say, getting the newer Raiden games running, etc.

Every time there is the beginnings of a promising N64 emulator, it seems to slide into obscurity.

Now that N64 backup units are getting harder to find, (heck mine died taking an N64 with it!) there are few other avenues...

Not really intending to bitch/whine/moan... just not seeing the usual frantic dedication on this platform that we see on others.

Kudos to the programmers at large in any case... Tho many times you don't get the praise you deserve, we do appreciate the spare time you all put into it.

Dr V64 are crap. Ive fried two of them both times the damage was irrepairable. I would like another but I feel ive spent too much on them already.
