Final Burn 0.104! - February 22,2001 by JoseQ
As expected from a recent discovery about the CPS-2 boards, a new version of Final Burn has been released. You can get version 0.104 from the Emulator Download Page right away. There's two big changes going into this release. One is the correction of the 68K CPU used in the CPS-2 boards, to 12MHz, so if you felt like the game was going 33% too fast, then you can now play at the correct speed. Also, ADPCM sound has been added to those older but absolutely cool CPS1 games. There's also some optimizations to the scanline modes to reduce flickering. Enjoy!

Amongst other things, it makes the trippy blurry effects optional!

(to the guy who e-mailed dave and cps2shock about ssf2t: what was your query, and have you tried the msgboards at retrogames?)

Yeah, that's a new feature. IT's designed to ease the pain of flicker and emulate the slower phosphors of an arcade monitor. Just turn the scanlines off if you don't like it (since scanlines suck anyway).

Reducing the cpu clock _may_ mean that the native speed selector cannot be emulated, or its not so easy... Of course, do not go buggy dayvee, he already know the problem, among SFA2 glitches (NOT a problem with the rom set).

I have been getting all of my CPS2 roms
using mIRC and logging on to the roms channel, then using the trigger !navi-arcade or !morp-arcade.

That's a bug my, freind, not a bad rom. IF you don't like it, try MAME.

CPS2 roms are encrypted. You need xor tables so the emulator knows how to decrypt these roms for use. MAME/Final Burn roms are basically adding the XOR files into the .ZIP with the CPS2 roms.

Then just go to a command line and run 'ipconfig' (WinNT/Win2k) or 'winipcfg' (Win9x/WinME) instead of posting off-topic messages, please.
