Classic Remake: Kablooey - February 25,2001 by JoseQ
Shane R. Monroe has released a remake of the popular Atari 2600 game "Kaboom!". The title of this remake is "Kablooey!" and looks quite cool. Obviously it offers enhanced graphics over the original game. It was created using Blitz Basic which seems to be a simple, yet powerful programming environment. Check out the game and see if you like it as much as the classic game from the 80s.

BB is shaping up very nicely...it is already powerful and very fast...and is being upgraded all the time. Also a 3d version is due to come out later in the year which promises to be very impressive. Anyone interested in game programming should definitely check it out - the free demo is (almost) fully functional.
