Final Burn 0.108! - February 26,2001 by JoseQ
Well I finally sit down in front of my computer at home and what do I find? No less than two new Final Burn releases! You can download the latest version (0.108) from the Emulator Download Page as usual. These new versions add support for "X-Men: Children of the Atom" which was a new release by CPS2Shock today. Also included is support for "Super Street Fighter 2" along with regional switch for it and it's 'Turbo' counterpart. Check it out! Thanks to Escapist and Chad for the EV Board postings with the news.

First off I would have posted this in the EV Board but my posts there are always blank.

Anyway, Dave

What I posted was aimed at you, But at all the people that caused you your trouble in the first place.
So if you want to tell me $!@# off that's fine! I don't know what I posted that demands me to do that though.
Hell I don't even use FB anymore and I don't even like any of the stupid CPS2 games except D&D.
Again my post wasn't in any way an attack at you! But with your reply I feel personaly attacked by you!

BTW, You kinda created your own problems, If you didn't update your $!@#ing emu. every day people wouldn't expect it.

yeah but if he didnt post a new emu every day then there wouldnt be so many people queuing up to suck his .... every five minutes.

its interesting because 99% of the people defending everytime he gets flamed in a post are just desparate for another release. if it was mr X behaving like a jerkoff then nobody would care! =parasites.

Guys leave Dave alone. He was merly making a point, now do you really think that saying those things will prevent him from doing what he did again? If i were you I'd watch what i say and be thankful for what he gave us.

Or what?

So unless your opinion is 100% in agreement with Dave (and you worship him like a god) then stay away from this board or he might stop programming final burn.

god bless America!

Umm, MAMEDK

I know this is going to cause some harsh remarks but oh well.
I think it's really amusing how this has all played out!
First Dave protests people putting the X-files to use in his emulator before he does by removing the CPS2 games.
Then mame supports them and Dave returns them.
Now everyone compliments Dave AGAIN at his expedience in getting the new X-Files supported, Even though they have been and are supported in MAME before they have even been released.
Ie: The last two CPS2SHOCK releases.

What a F**KED UP world.

Moron. Dave's leaving had nothing to do with the XOR files. He quit because people started demanding/threatening/harassing Dave for going a whole 48 hours without releasing a new version. It was seriously sick and way out of control. While he spoke out against ROM patching, that wasn't the reason he left. It was whiny (and sometimes demented) ingrate bitches.

Yep, good point.

This situation highlights just how childish the programmers can be. Kudos to MAME for giving some of them the occasional kick up the butt!

No, this statement points out how ignorant the public can be.

From: 141.155.125.58
hey, i was just wondering if anyone knew about this mysterious version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

I was at Nathans one day and had come across the new Super Street Fighter II Turbo. i put in my coins, blah blah. but when i got to the vs. screen, instead of it saying "SUPER" in the background, it was a starfield simulation. This starfield simulation also replaced the "SUPER" after a bout and during the continue screen. if anyone, ANYONE at all can give me any info on this mysterious version of Super Street Fighter II, please contact me. my e-mail is ImAnAmrcnBadAss@hotmail.com Thanks!

Is there any difference between the latest "X-Men COTA USA" game and the previous "X-men COTA Japan (with Region Switch code changed to USA in Final Burn of course)"?
Anyone played both to find any subtle differences?

Yes there are differences, but they're basically just timing/damage tweaks.
