X-Men vs. Street Fighter - March 29,2001 by JoseQ
CPS2Shock has made yet a new decryption release of another CPS2 title. This time the honor goes to "X-Men vs. Street Fighter". Emulatronia was showing some pictures from the game yesterday at their site (look for X-Men vs Street Fighter within the text) and they look quite nice. Those of course, are taken from Nebula, the new CPS2 emulator which will be released this weekend. Check out both sites for the download and the pics respectively.

you know, we would have had a new Final Burn release
by now that would play this game if the stupid MAME
worshipers hadn't pissed Dave off. MAME freaks are
the lamest group in the emulation scene. Personally,
I keep MAME only to play the games that are not yet
emulated elsewhere. It's so pathetic seeing those
morons come in here and bitch at how everything sux
but MAME. If someone would come out with an emulator
for the Midway games, I'd do away with MAME altogether.

I got it work. After adding the decryption files from CPS2Shock to the rom, I just dragged and dropped the zip file onto the cps2mame.exe and it worked with no problem. You may have a bad rom or may have forgotton to add the decryption files to the rom. Sorry if that doesn't help.

>Thanks a lot man. I got the emu to wok using that technique but I have a joystick and as I understand it you need to use command line parameters in order to use a joy stick. dou you know how to do this?

I'm just curious as to where the rom is
going to be offered. That and whether
Nebula will be able to emulate this game
as good as final burn emulates the
other street fighters, such as the alpha
series.

The place where I got it was www.aceroms.com, but I downloaded it about a month ago, just waiting for it to be decrypted. That's the best thing to do. Download the cps2 games before they are a wanted item, and you're life is much happier.
