PinMAME Released! - March 29,2001 by JoseQ
Not so long ago, there was a Pinball emulator devoted to emulating all of the Williams Pinball machines. It's name, WPCMAME. Now, a new emulator has been born to replace WPCMAME, and it's called PinMAME. It comes from the same folks that worked on WPCMAME, and it aims to emulate other brands of Pinball machines out there. The first release came out today, so be sure to check it out. The ROMs for these machines will eventually make it back into my database, so be a bit patient for that. Check out the site for more details on the emulator.

I had to delete my wpc game file because my harddrive could not handle the large space requirements.I hope you can get the roms back again so i can finally see this work.

How do these games play? Like electronic pinball games, or simulations? I LOVE PINBALL.

This just emulates the games logic and switches it's not like you can play the thing.

Not yet, but they have noted several times that they will be adding pinball simulation to the emulator at a later date. I can't wait for that.

That would be nice, but I doubt that will happen. Pro Pinball sims (the best out there) take up a whole CD-ROM _per table_.

Not to toot my horn too much, but I'm responsible for a majority of the sound commands that're documented in the included sounds.dat file. =)
