Nebula 1.0a! - March 31,2001 by JoseQ
Update: Version 1.0a has been uploaded into the Emulator Download page. This fixes a few things.
As promised, the first version of Nebula (notice this link goes to EmuGenerations which was where the original release took place) has been released! You can get version 1.0 from the Emulator Download Page. If you hadn't heard, Nebula is another CPS-2 emulator; one that allows plug-ins to emulate new games. I haven't tried this out myself, but I hear it has a nice GUI, scanlines, anti-aliased graphic modes, automatic detection of the ROMs and more. Check it out!

Sorry latest version is Nebula10a.
If your having problems don`t forget to
put the zipped Rom Image file in a folder called ROMS in your Nebula.exe drawer.
Only Roms from enumania.com seem to work ???????

Should read my own advice.....

Copy your Final Burn Game zip`s into a folder called ROMS in your Nebula folder, the secondery
folder Nebula looks for ie. c:Finalburn/roms does not work on my computer, all my FinalBurn roms work regardless of download site.

I personally think this emulator is pretty good! On my machine it is equally as fast as FB but has better sound, less bugs (missing gfx etc), much nicer gui and custom options etc.
For all those people complaing about emulator authors - shut up, or do better youself, I think not. Thanks for this superb emulator!!

Mink - Everybody is entitled to their opinion and that is exactly what is being voiced here.

Most of us 'assholes' have also injected some positive comments in our post as well.

I'm very pleased for you that Nebula runs perfectly, but on my system Final Burn runs much better. If the next release by Nebula corrects that then great.

In the meantime please respect other people's opinions...

Good, but nowhere near as smooth as Final Burn. Close but no cigar...

Nice Neorage GUI though...

decryption roms Nebula looks for is DIFFERENT than
those posted on Cps2-shock.

If you downloaded Nebula10.zip
go back and get Nebula101.zip and don`t forget to delete the old version files.

Hm. Not a bad first release, but it definitely has issues with 80% of the romsets I have. Funny, Nebula is the only one complaining. CPS2Mame and Final Burn have no trouble with these same ones.

I'm only on an old 466 with 160 megs of ram, but I'm getting about 75% speed. Hopefully it will be a bit faster in time. For now, I'm going to be forced to stick with Final Burn though...

Setup blows away Final Burn.....
No save state? Hey its new.
Load as fast as Final Burn? Definitely.
Games run as smooth as Final Burn?
This is a resounding HELL NO!
Not even on a P3 933 pc133 256.
This was supposed to be a competitor
for Final Burn?
Ill reserve my last comments 6 months from now when the release better updates.

I must admiot I downloaded Nebula to much sceptism as to how good it would be especially seeing I all ready had an excellant Csp2 emulator notibly Finalburn but my gawd I was soon to realise the both the architecture of Nebula is similar to that of Neorage X and it incredibly easy to use and setup. However I have found it to be a little too fast for my liking at the moment but I presume on playing around with its many features I will be able to control the frame rate and also I have found that its direct control 3d does not produce sound in any of the games I tried up to now but all in all this is a must download and I anxiously await the next release of Nebula and Finalburn...Steveon

Ok what exactly am I supposed to do to make this game work. I unzipped the romset and the decryption key into the Romdata and placed the original zip file into it. Now when I go to play it, it comes up with every single rom in the romset and says I they're all missing...WTF.....i even looked to see if i had a different version of the rom and i dont...the names are exaclty the same. Also, this rom worked w/ cps2mame as long as I just took the zip file and placed it on the cps2mame.exe...for some reason doing it the manual way didnt work. So maybe I just can't follow directions.....could somebody PLEASE help...by the way, the link to the emugenerations or whatever in the article is down...
