Emusphere closes... - April 18,2001 by JoseQ
While EmuViews.Com had a close call yesterday, it is Emusphere the site that's closing down. It seems the frustration caused by not being able to get their own domain back from eFront (those guys that messed up a lot of websites recetly). It is a sad day when any emulation website closes, but it is sadder when it is one that has been around for years. There's no details as to what will happen to their hosted sites, but judging from other sites on the ZTNetwork that have become inactive, they will probably stay there for an indefinite amount of time. Visit the Emusphere site for the farewell messages from Adrox and Skates.

I just got back online and recently heard the sad news. Emusphere was my favorite news site and I spread the word to visit it amongst friends and such. Emusphere and JoseQ are my two favorite netsites. Alas, now I have only one . . . .

It pains us every time someone from the emulation community shuts down... It was bad enough that JoseQ almost closed shop... (Thanx Dorsola for the heads up)...Please give any support you can.... If you can host a good site please do...and support those that keep us emulating..including this site...

Damn near EVERY emu site is hosted by ZTNET- EmuViews is the only major one that isn't. Retrogames, GeoShock, EmuCamp, Zophar...
Remember a while back, when for about a day EmuViews was just about the only emu site online because ZTNET went down? (it was posted here as a news item)

This is truly a sad day...I just have to
say please don't close the emuviews down
please?????!!!???

I have only been visiting this site
for two years...yes I like the roms,
but the news is great...I get a quick
fix and I know what is happening usually
before anyone else...ignore the loosers
that are trying to destroy the emulation
scene...I think they have hateful (sp)
reasons and don't show the true feelings
of the fans like myself in regards to
the emulation scene...from what I can
tell the problems started when the
emulation developers started emulating
products from companies like nintendo
and the makers of golden tee golf...
I hope that the scene will pick up
and be as strong as before...I can wait
until the "heat" dies down. Don't
give up, you have some strong
supporters around here.

Edward Letendre.
