bleem! for DC at EB World! - May 03,2001 by JoseQ
It seems bleem! for Dreamcast (the one that plays "Gran Turismo II" is already out and for sale! At least you can get it from EB World already as it's listed as shipping within 24 hours. My loyal spies promised to do some contraband and get an early copy in my hands soon, so I should be able to comment about it in the near future. EB World lists it as $5.99 and "Gran Turismo II" for $19.99. So for $25.99 plus shipping (or sales taxes) you can get to play this game better than you ever did before. If you already have it, please comment here and let us know how it's looking and playing.

just got bleemcast today, well all i got to say is this is very cool,i will be buying more of these when bleem comes out with more that is for sure.it obviously blows the ps1 out of the water, that would be cool if we get all the psx titles for dreamcast, that would keep the dreamcast alive, and be making sony more money and some money for sega too

I finally got to play GT2 on my DC over the weekend and the bleem! enhancements make the PS2 enhancements look like a joke. I highly recommend the GT2 edition of bleem! DC. It is $6 well spent.

Q: How many illiterate morons does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: I don't know, but they all seem to be here in the dark..

Listen, bleem! llc is very poor as a company and they've screwed everyone over in the past including me with bleem! PC, but now I can play GT2 on my DC as I don't have a PS2. It's solid state hardware so I don't have to worry about drivers like I do on PC emulators.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, and write your own free Playstation emulator for Dreamcast. I'll download it in an instant.

Otherwise, buy and enjoy or leave it and bitch.

I got mine today at the EB at Mall of America, and the improvement is drastic over the PS2 playing it! The only down side is it takes a whole VMU to save! If you want a real laugh though read the legal disclamer at the bottom of the packaging, among other things it says "All Your Base Are Beelong To Us"!

Bleemcast looks much better than PS2 GT2. Seriously, before you bash it try playing the damn game yourself and see the improvements. It's definatly worth the 6 bucks.

Hey i have a ps2 and have been playing GT2 with the polygon smoothing or whatever it does...i wonder what performs better...the ps2 (which im betting on) or Bleemcast. Or are they actually the same?..anyone who's played both, i'd be interested in hearing the results.

>Yeah Right! PS2 polygon smoothing what joke. It still plays in crappy low resolution. Bleamcast blows away the ps2 when playing GT2 110% improvement.

I had it delivered to where I work so I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'm not real concerned about whether or not another game-disc is released because I don't think there will be any others. GT2 is the ONLY game they have shown running alright ever since the product was introduced. Only $6 to make my copy of GT2 look pretty? Big deal. Maybe my support will encourage them to release another disc that supports another Playstation game I enjoy. The only problem I have with the GT2 edition of Bleem so far is that it appears it needs an ENTIRE vmu to save the game data.

Here before too long there will be a FREE Playstation emulator for Dreamcast, I think I will hold out long enough for that, I never liked Bleem, they took to long and seem to be more interesting in one thing $

Forget for a moment the arguments surrounding releasing a one-game emulator. How much sense does it make to release an emulator for THIS game? Not that GT isn't a great game, it is just that DC has loads of amazing racing games. Why not start with something a little more unique like Final Fantasy? How well does everyone think this will do?

I agree, there's nothing wrong for charging for an emulator, but there is something wrong with screwing your customers.

I pre-ordered bleem to help support the company and after what seemed like endless delays I finally got my copy of bleem. (remember how may relase dates we saw come and go?) What upsets me about bleem is the lack of updates or any sign of even giving a damn about the PC customers. When it first came out we were promised support and updates and the best playstation emulator avalable, but now all I have a coaster to put my drink on as I use ePSXe.

There's nothing wrong with selling emulators. Just make sure that they are of commercial quality and back the release up with reasonable amount of support. Bleem has failed miserably on both counts.

Anyone notice that now that bleemcast's been released Sonikku is spamming most of the emulation and psx based sites again.
Notice that they can't even bother to update thier own web page.
