Project64 1.1! - June 09,2001 by JoseQ
A new version of Jabo and Zilmar's Project64 has been released! You can download this new version from the Emulator Download Page. For those unfamiliar with this project, it is a pretty advanced Nintendo64 emulator. This version has fixed Direct3D resets for fog, fixes in the software mode drivers, rewritten autodetection code handling for ucodes, and more. Check out the Changes file and/or the website for all the details . Enjoy!

I read about the problems with voodoo3 cards, so it's a pitty I can't use this emulator. Fortunatly Zelda and Mario still do it well on the good old UltraHLE.

PS: I know some Geforce cards are
affordable for nearly everyone,
but before buying new hardware,
I want to know the system-
requirements of DOOM III ;-)

you should take a look on the official project64's home page: they have found a fix for all Voodoo3 owners, so go get it! ;)

This is shaping up to be the best emulator for the N64.

What do others think?

About a year ago, I got into N64 emulation. There were only a few N64 emulatorsd available at the time. Then N64 emulation seemed to stop. Just recently a few new N64 emulators surfaced and N64 emulation seems to be picking up again. I am now back into N64 emulation because there are now emulators that can play the games. I am most impressed with Project64 as this emulator seems to be getting better and better.

I'd have to agree! Project 64 is coming along quite quickly. My brother has an n64 , but there are few good games , so i never bothered to get one myself. Zelda was the only thing i've like besides conker and i couldn't justify buying an n64 for 2 or 3 games. I just isn't worth it. Psx and Dreamcast on the other hand were worth buying because they have so many different software house doing games for them. I've bought several n64 games for my brother , but they were all racing and they all suck. Castlevania is pretty good to I suppose ... that's why I bought that for him (really , it was for him!heh heh!) . Anyhow I got off topic , but I'm really impressed with this new emulator. ahhh...nuff said.
