I have a problem with the sound. After a while of playing, the sound starts cracking up (I have a soundblaster live)
does anyone else have this problem with kawaks sound?

the main point is adding the thin scanlines, the one used in mame32k and (better) in Final Burn.
As soon as this will happen, this emu will be perfect.

Kawaks is shaping up to be just as good as Final Burn in terms of its level of accuracy and compatibility. I'm glad to see development is continuing on it and that the authors aren't being subjected to the same trouble that Dave had to endure.

Things I'd like to see in the next release: Configurable sound quality, higher sound volume (games were almost whisper-quiet for me), and better music tempo management. (For instance, all of the music in Vampire Savior is played about 5-10% too slow - compare to both MAME and Final Burn.)

Actually Dorsola - there's been only one thing that all the other CPS2 emu's did that annoyed me - and that's play the music at the wrong pitch/tempo - the others were all slightly too fast - glad to hear the sfa2 theme in it's correct pitch :P

Really? Then how come in Vampire Savior (as an example) the music and video get out of sync when they didn't in Final Burn and MAME? The various visual events (like the parts where BB Hood and Queen Bee appear on the screen) should be EXACTLY linked to the beats in the music. They are in Final Burn - they're not in Kawaks.

(just to be a bit more clear about this: I'm referring to the title sequence, where a majority of the game's characters are introduced.)
