New Modeler Pics - June 16,2001 by JoseQ
A recent breakthrough done by the Modeler team has rendered games like "Burning Rival" to be playable aside minor glitches. The screenshots added to the gallery are testimony of this, and I must add that they look great. The same breakthrough should be happening fairly soon for "Dark Edge". All of the dumped System32 games (except "DBZ") are playable on Modeller right now. "DBZ" seems to have a more elaborate protection scheme, although I'm sure it'll be broken eventually. Check out the site for more details on this advancements and the screenshots of course.

Well done moduler team for keeping us updated - I for 1 am glad that the emulator is going to be released later rather than sooner - as I really hate bugs - lets walk before we run

But...

Speculation is rife about buying emulators rather than free emulators.

Every site mentions about roms being downloaded only if you have the original - and to be quiet honest - you have the original because you bought it - correct ?

Well buying the emulator means just for the privilage of playing on your PC we have to spend more money - I feel a debate coming on dont you.

I leave this speculation to the community

In any case - we will all have fun when this gets released so lets all play nice

bye for now

Delboy

At a local arcade in Toledo Ohio to try and cash in on the DBZ craze they actually have an older DBZ pcb running. Not the Sys32 one.

Boy does it suck. No one ever plays it. But then again that arcade isn't very good anyway...

Why haven't we seen a release of Modeler for a while? Is the author saving everything because he plans to sell it(like Magic Engine or Bleem which are both 'cracked' anyway).

I think it's OK, if they make a few games 100% playable in the next version. I have Golden Axe 2 and Spiderman, but I don't play them 'cause they don't work well.
