FreezeSMS WIP Release - June 23,2001 by JoseQ
A Work In Progress version of FreezeSMS has been released by the author, Jason Starr. You can download it from the Emulator Download Page as usual. This is the first public version since January 15th, so there should be a lot of changes included. Thanks to Emulatronia for the news.

Ok, it bombed out the first two times I ran it... but then I config'd it... and it works great IMO. :)

Cheers,
Navvie.

Thanks for the compliments. Having to config before you run it is something that is being changed in the next version.

Yes you guys are right, I have accidently disabled that mapper when i was debugging it ages ago. So i will release a new version with it enabled after Maxim sends me a new frontend with a few fixes ppl are complaining about. The pictures werent doctored, the only Codemaster game that doesnt run 100% is Cosmic Spacehead, and possible one of the dizzy games(which are prototypes, not sure if its an emu bug or a actual bug in the rom itself). Thats all

That Zoop guy seems to think he knows everything just because he has his l33t emu-coding status. Thanks man. You are a more respectable coder then Zoop at this time, but that is just me and who cares about me :P
Jason, thanks for saving me from having to point out even more wicked and awful proof of the existence, since Zoop was trying to lead us all to denial.

Zoop, for shame.

Without disrespect, I don't see the logic in your post.

Jason's answer was not contradicting my posts, and vice versa. As he mentionned, Codemasters mapper was accidentally disabled in latest FreezeSMS and that's why I got black screens with all those games myself.

Thanks man, you are awsome. Is that what you wanted?

Thanks man, now when will those said roms be released, since they were "accidently" disable or so he claims. Thanks.
Stalling is fun when the answer to the first question is utterly avoided like crazy, don't you agree.

Over at EMU-LMAO many of us are now left wondering - when will Zoop, or somebody else, be releasing some of the Codemaster roms that Jason's fine work now emulates?
Or do we have SMS and Game Gear rom hoardng now to? Next to those Japump! dudes, who love to claim preservation :P

A question for you, Jack - what on earth is meant by "ROM hoarding"? Have Zoop, myself and other SMS Power members somehow conspired to buy up every single SMS cartridge in existence, thus preventing others from buying and dumping them themselves? You'd do as well to accuse a complete stranger of "WAV hoarding" because he won't copy his Limp Bizkit CD for you.

What exactly is your issue with SMS Power (or Team Japump! for that matter)? I'd love to hear a straight answer, because I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Thanks man, I guess that Micro Machines screenshot was obviously doctored by PoleStaR, and the claim it has two other Codemaster classics added is also a fragrent lie by friendly PoleStaR.
Thanks man.

I can get them working perfectly, and PoleStar did probably, but the fix currently screws a few other standard games on Game Gear.
(PoleStar has the bad habit to announce things before they are started, you should know ;)

Why not just release the roms so that someone can debug the problems and get perfect emulation...

Roms are freely available on request for SMS emulators authors, as always.

ROMs will be released when correctly playable under emulators.
Currently most are not running perfectly under MEKA.
I just tried them all with FreezeSMS and all were showing a black screen.
