General News... - December 09,2002 by JoseQ
Just wanted to do a generic post to show that I'm still alive and kicking... I have been so busy during the past few days that I haven't even been able to go into the EV Chat for a few minutes, or keep up with the news, so I'll do a quick update to cover a few things I found on the net just before trying to get at least four hours of sleep...
I noticed Aaron Giles updated his website with comments from the latest MAME WIP update. He also hints that the driver he's been teasing about for the past few days, was not shown in the WIP update. For screenshots of that driver, visit the site linked above.
The Guru's ROM Dumping News was updated today with a list of four new dumps. There's also a mention about the guys behind a project called Icarus and their desire to emulate not only the Dreamcast, but Sega's Naomi board. Check it out.
Hopefully, I will be able to do more research on news tomorrow after what I wish will be a good night sleep. After sleeping for about ten hours in the past three nights combined, I sure hope I can catch-up. Wish me luck.

I'm not sure who is posting under my IP address, but I assure you it isn't me (Jerry). My firewall alert went off and I got this website as an alert. When I come to the site, I get directed to this page. Now I see some idiot posting under my IP address. Well, I am the real person at this address and, like I said, I know nothing about this site. I'm not into emulation and let me assure you that I did not post the previous message by this IP address.

Regards,
Jerry

death is never a novelty unless your necro. speaking on novelties, the emulation scene is never dead. it is everlasting like magma sacking small villagers spuring up alpine furs. In one form or 'nother a love will last till the love is rested; and im am never in peace. So the scene will live through authors, believer's, Jose, and me. So get prepared to check out my next 5-6 minute emulation hiphop retreat. In lo-fi (for conection's like mine) and hi-hi. The stuff that get grandmas ankles feelin like it's the ninteen-thirties again.

It's sad to say this, but it's true:

David Perez Fuentes, the talented author of the CBEBoy emulator (GameBoy) died at the age of 23, victim of a cancer.

let us all pay our respect too him.

Are you sure? Do you have proof? I'd like to post this as news, but...
