EV News Updates - December 15,1998 by JoseQ
A couple of News items this morning as I've found aroundsearching through the web. Perhaps the most interestingbeing that the Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA)was interviewed by EliteGamer.Com. In it you can find manyquestions (and answers, and opinions from various figures)to most of the questions Emulation has always asked the IDSA. Not like they answered in a very informative andlogic way, but still, it means they're paying attention. You might go to it directly by clicking Here.
In also other very interesting news, last night, theRolling Thunder driver was submitted by Ernesto Corvi. Thesame person who brought us Karate Champ has deliveredthe thunder, with help from Jimmy Hamm and others. Musicis already emulated (no need for hefty samples) but sfx (voices) are still missing although the samples have beenidentified inside the ROMs. It's getting pretty close andI'm betting it will appear in the first beta of MAME .35.Atila of Retrogameshas already tested it running Full Speed on his PII-266.Great news indeed.
SMYGB development continues as the author produces somemore Color Gameboy screenshots for everyone. You might want to take a look Here. There arestill no news about when it will be released though.
A new Nintendo 64 emulator has emerged, and it's pagecan be found Here. It hasbeen updated pretty fast, and it currently shows the N fromthe Nintendo 64 logo at the start of WaveRace. More on thatas it develops.
That's all for now, but keep an eye close as Christmasdraws closer and more news start to develop. There are stillmore things to come. Stay tuned!at these
