VBEmu98 Released! - January 17,1999 by JoseQ
The first and only Virtual Boy Emulator has been released. The name of the emulator is VBEmu98 and itis already available to download at the Emulators Page. This emulator, written by David Tucker, emulatesthe now discontinued Virtual Boy. This portable consolewas planned to be a big hit among users because it featured3D Games. Since it was clunky and basically had uglygraphics (based on a red colored screen), people discardedit and eventually it got discontinued.
As weird as it may seem, this console got emulated and it playsgames from the not so many that were made available. You can find more information of the games that havebeen dumped at the VBEmu Page using the link above.Since Nintendo is so picky about the ROM images beingdistributed, I will probably not host these. However,if you have your own copies, you can probably find themaround the net and download them.
The author points out that a Linux version is available atthe home page. But this file is corrupt and will be updatedtomorrow Monday, when he gets some time to upload it again.Enjoy!
