Make Emulation Legal - May 29,1999 by JoseQ
Michael Russell has made a very interesting proposition. It involves having a "Make Emulation Legal" day, in whichpeople erase the ROMs they illegally have in their harddisks, or go out and buy their respective cartridge basedcounterparts to make their owning them legal. You mayread his full articlewhich I consider very good. I believe it mainly targetsconsole based emulation, since he points out to going outand buying $15 dollar games. I certainly agree with hisproposition, and have been taken part of it already, asI have bought about 20 Sega Genesis games in the last monthsince I got a Nomad. I feel that many of us can stillsupport game authors, specially when games today are socheaply available. The date set is July 4th, and the authorof the article asks for you to notify him of your advancements towardsmaking Emulation "Legal". Thanks to Retrogamesfor the news!
